Zipline will deliver medical supplies to Japan's Goto Islands

As early as May, Goto residents will be able to get their medications using Zipline autonomous drones.

The drone manufacturer will begin delivering prescription drugs and other medical supplies to hospitals on these hard-to-reach Japanese islands.

The operation will be run by Toyota Tsusho Corp, which invested in Zipline in 2018. According to the company, Zipline will reduce delivery time from hours to 30 minutes.
