Zipline is joining forces with Walmart

Users will now be able to get their packages straight through the sky with drones.

Retail e-commerce is expected to grow by 13.7% to $908.73B by the end of 2022. With these projections, cities will see an increase in the number of delivery vehicles usable. The growth could exceed 30%, with a similar increase in traffic congestion. With all this competition, companies are forced to deliver parcels almost instantaneously, which is nearly impossible because of complicated logistics – loading a truck with hundreds of one-pound parcels is unprofitable.

Fortunately, there is a solution – Zipline. Starting this week, Walmart customers in the P Ridge, Arkansas area will be able to place online orders for health products and have them delivered directly to their homes by autonomous Zipline planes.

For the first time, Zipline will deliver products directly to consumers' homes. These direct deliveries open up a number of benefits for companies like Walmart, their customers, and even people who never use the service-the latter won't have to stand in city traffic jams set up by dozens of delivery service trucks.
